Let’s talk about Grand Prix 2013, class 250. It ‘s the 4th round, the one hosted by Vallelunga. We follow with emotion the race of the pilot Giacomo Lucchetti.
The pilot, a longtime friend sponsored by PZRacing, is first in the overall standings and then a step away from victory.
Saturday September 7, in the first round of qualifying, Lucchetti gets a great time and he is in provisional pole position for Sunday’s starting grid. The second round opens with a twist: the rider falls down and is run over by Patrick Binucci, who can not avoid him.
Giacomo was taken to the hospital. Diagnosis: broken collarbone and a rib and pulmonary contusion.
In the second round of qualification nobody beats the time of the pilot, which would be in pole position for Sunday’s starting.
Among the general astonishment, Lucchetti decides to run and do not miss the chance to win the championship. Giacomo climb aboard, winning the fifth place and a heartfelt standing ovation from his fans.
Now he is second, just four points from Jarno Ronzoni.
In less than a month, on 6 and 7 October, the Mugello Circuit will host the 5th and last round: our pilot will have all the time to get back and fight for the title.
Get well Jack … We we support you!
