It took place on 9 and 10 May on the circuit of Imola the fifth leg of the World Superbike Championship.

A really important day for the Kawasaki Grillini Racing Team, with the presentation of his new rider, Niccolo Canepa, who will replace Chris Ponsson for the rest of the season.

Good the first two days of testing: both Canepa, at onset, both Barragan, obtained the qualification to the Superpole on Saturday.

Sunday was an unlucky day for Canepa: he was stopped by a virus and could not participate at the race. Good performance for Ponsson, that comes closer to the top ten: thirteenth place in Race 1 and eleventh in Race 2.
