The day began with a great performance of Dominic Schmitter in Superpole 1 with the fourth fastest time in his group, that assured him the fourteenth place on the starting grid. Nineteenth place for Vizziello.
Absolute domination of Chaz Davies in Race 1 while no point conquered by the two riders of Team Grillini.  Dominic Schmitter finished the race sixteenth while Vizziello crossed the finish line nineteenth.
Andrea Grillini Team Manager commented: “I am very pleased with the time registered by Schmitter in Superpole. I hoped he could bring home some points,  but it did not happened. We are confident for Race 2 tomorrow.
