Completely redesigned design and a brand-new color TFT display
Start Basic and Start Next are the only chronometers in the world that use a GPS receiver with 50Hz position sampling, guaranteeing lap time accuracy to the nearest hundredth of a second and GPS trajectory display accuracy unmatched by current receivers. The new Start devices use a touchscreen display with “Gloves Sensitive” technology, allowing the rider to operate them perfectly even while wearing gloves. The icon-based menu makes navigation simpler and more intuitive. Thanks to automatic detection and a global database, the chronometer automatically detects the circuit without having to press a button. Start Basic is the entry-level version, without data acquisition; lap times are displayed directly on the display and can be downloaded to a PC. Start Next stores GPS trajectories, speed, direction, acceleration, and lean angle, allowing the rider to review and analyze their performance on a PC.

50Hz GPS receiver: The only stopwatch in the world to use a revolutionary 50Hz GPS receiver, capable of detecting satellite position 50 times per second, Start is capable of calculating lap times with unrivaled precision and storing your vehicle’s position with near-absolute accuracy.
Touch screen: Say goodbye to awkward button presses! Start features a touchscreen with “Gloves Sensitive” technology, allowing operation even while wearing gloves. The touchscreen makes Start simple and intuitive, thanks also to the icon-based menu.
Three split times: In addition to storing lap times, Start can display and store up to three split times.
Split Time Improvement LED: Thanks to the preset split times, an LED will alert you if you’re improving your lap time, both at the split time and at the finish line.
Ideal Time: By setting split times, the ideal achievable time calculated from the sum of the best split times will be displayed at the end of the session.
Predictive Time: From the third lap of each session, you can view the predicted finish time in two different modes, including the most intuitive, the difference from the best lap of the session.
Multicolor LED Bar and Alarm: A fully configurable LED bar and alarm make Start a complete stopwatch for any use.
Chrono Mode LED Bar: The new 5-color LED bar opens up new features. By setting the LED bar to chrono mode, the LEDs transform into a simplified stopwatch that’s visible at a glance, allowing the rider to stay focused on the ride without having to distract themselves by reading the display. From the third lap onward, the LED bar will be used to display the gap between the current time (predicted finish line time) and the best lap of the session. Each lit LED corresponds to a tenth of a second of gap. If the LEDs are green, the predicted time will be lower than the best time of the session; if they are red, it is lower. For example, if two green LEDs are lit while riding, it means the predicted finish line time will be 0.2 seconds lower than the best time of the session.
Display of various values (Start Next only): Thanks to the rear military connector, Start Next’s storage and display capacity can be expanded. Connecting one of the available expander boxes activates various predefined screens where you can view engine rpm, temperature, thermocouple temperature (e.g., exhaust gas temperature), and the gear selected.

Lean Angle (Start Next only): By downloading the data to your PC or app, thanks to a specific algorithm, you can know the lean angle for every single corner of the circuit, all without having to install any sensors or accessories on the bike.
Data Acquisition (Start Next only): Start Next allows you to acquire trajectories and speeds detected via GPS; furthermore, by connecting dedicated expansion modules, you can acquire up to 9 analog and 3 digital channels.
